System description:
The typical system on which we install our filters would be on the ceramic pressers. The ceramic pressers are equipped with a hydraulic system that regulates the velocity of the pres piston and is normally centralized in an oil deposit of approximately 1000 liters working under pressure at around 300 bars.
The critical point:
The pressers work in a very hot and dirty environment which causes high levels of resins (oxidation of the oil) and dust particles to enter into the oil of the hydraulic system. The contamination of the oil can result in unforeseen breakdowns due to a severe reduction of the life expectancy of the mechanical parts. The pump and the proportional valves are especially vulnerable. Furthermore the contamination also causes the oil to deteriorate and loose its lubricating effect.
The solution:
The CJC HDU 15/25 PV-Y fine filter with a 3µm BG 15/25 filter insert. Due to the 2,0 bar pressure in the system the filter would be installed with special pressure o-rings.
The result:
After only 3 months of filtration we have reached the recommended level of cleanlyness (ISO-code 16/14/11) and drastically reduced the amount of resins and dust in the oil. Cleaning the oil of its resins no only prolongs the life expectancy of the delicate valve systems, it also decreases the total acid number (TAN) and thereby slows the aging process of the oil, meaning that the ceramic pressers can work up to 4 times longer without changing the hydraulic oil.
