Transformer oil, (naftenic and parafinic) is used for electrical insulation and as a coolant in power transformers. Keeping the transformer oil clean is essential in order to maximize the remaining life time of a power transformer.
A CJC V30 Vacuum Filter will remove particles and water from the transformer oil. The moisture in the transformer oil acts as the transporting media for acidic compounds that accelerate ageing of the transformer.
