EC, EO, EL inserts (27/-) - Acid reduction in oil
EC, EO and EL-inserts are used for improving oil quality. Among other things:
- Reduction of total acid number (TAN)
- Increasing surface tension
- Reducing the power factor (tan delta)
- Increasing the break down voltage
Reducing the acidity of oil, for instance transformer oil or gas engine oil, extends the life time of the oil and reduces ageing, wear and tear on the oil filled system.
The E-series inserts should be used in conjunction with a type A or B CJC filter insert.
The amount of acid reducing filtration material needed to restore a given oil varies from oil to oil and is among other factors dependent on water content, temperature of the system oil and particular contamination.
For transformer oil you can expect to reach levels at or better than the standards for new oil.
For gas engine oil you can expect to reduce the TAN thereby extending oil change intervals. Combined with a fine filter Si-levels will also be reduced.
Contact C.C.Jensen for further information by clicking on the link above the filter insert image. We will then recommend an acid reducing solution for your system. Needless to say the price of reclaiming oil is often cheaper than replacing with new oil. Furthermore regeneration can be carried out with the system in operation meaning no down time required.
